Report to: Manager of Media and Communication

 

Objective:

To visually capture and communicate the university’s academic, cultural, and social life through high-quality photography and video content, enhancing its image, online presence, and promotional campaigns.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for photo taking/editing
  • Responsible for video shooting/editing
  • Making promotional videos
  • Manage GUtech and Majd subsidiaries social media accounts
  • Promote GUtech and Majd subsidiaries entities in local exhibitions and education fairs.
  • Ensure timely responses to emails sent to media@gutech.edu.om
  • Executing marketing campaigns for GUtech and Majd subsidiaries.
  • Maintain inventory of marketing collaterals
  • Undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department’s activities
  • Take up other duties as assigned by the line manager.

General Requirements:

In addition to the above, other general requirements apply to all positions in Media and Communication Unit

  • Participation in staff meetings
  • Participation in training
  • confidentially handle sensitive information.
  • Show familiarity with GUtech and its subsidiaries’ activities.
  • Editing software/ Adobe

Education/ Professional Qualifications

Diploma in Media Production, Photography, Visual Arts, Mass Communication, Journalism, or related field.

Work Experience

Minimum 2- 3 years’ in photography and videography.

Proven portfolio showcasing high quality photography and video projects.
