| To contribute to excellence in architecture and urban planning education through high-quality teaching, student mentorship, research, curriculum development, professional engagement, and interdisciplinary collaboration, supporting the University’s mission and commitment to socially responsive practice. | |

Key Tasks and Responsibilities |
|
| · Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in architecture or urban planning.
· Supervise thesis projects and mentor students at various academic levels. · Conduct and publish high-quality research in areas relevant to the department’s interests. · Contribute to curriculum development and pedagogical innovation. · Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-level committees. · Engage in outreach, consultancy, or professional activities aligned with the university’s mission. · Foster collaborative links with industry, government bodies, and international academic institutions. · Other duties assigned by the line manager. |

Qualification, Experience and Skills |
|
| Education/ Professional Qualification | · PhD in Architecture, or Urban Planning or related field |
| Work Experience | · Minimum 8 years of experience |
| Core Competencies and personal Attributes | · Operationally excellent with strong attention to detail and accuracy
· People-oriented, approachable, and proactive · Self-motivated and results-driven · Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the university level · A strong record of peer-reviewed publications, exhibitions, or built work. · Evidence of research leadership and the ability to attract external funding is desirable. · Experience in supervising postgraduate research is preferred. |
