Job Purpose:

The Admissions Officer is responsible for recruiting self-funded students, processing applications for admissions, and coordinating the admissions process for undergraduate programmes for a smooth and efficient enrollment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Student Recruitment:
    • Utilise the CRM to track and communicate with prospective applicants.
    • Use the CRM to run digital student recruitment promotional campaigns.
    • Implement recruitment strategies to attract qualified students.
    • Represent the university at education fairs and other student recruitment events.
    • Organise information sessions and presentations to prospective students on/off campus and virtually.
    • Build and maintain relationships with career counsellors in private and public schools.
    • Utilise social media and other digital marketing tools to promote the university’s programmes of study.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date information and data within the CRM system.
    • Coordinate with other departments and student clubs to promote the university’s programmes of study.
  2. Application Processing:
    • Review and process applications for undergraduate programmes.
    • Verify academic transcripts and other supporting documents.
    • Assess student qualifications and eligibility for admission in accordance with applicable admission requirements.
    • Process applications for credit transfer for a smooth and efficient admission process.
    • Communicate admission decisions to applicants in a timely manner.
  3. Student Enrollment:
    • Provide guidance and support to admitted students throughout the enrollment process.
    • Assist students with registration, orientation, and other enrollment procedures.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records.
    • Upload students document on to SIS.
    • Define the financial status of admitted students in SIS.
    • Maintain accurate records of all admission-related documents.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

  • Average days taken to process complete applications and issue offer letters is less than 48 hours.
  • Number of days taken to respond to enquiries (emails and CRM) is less than 48 hours.
  • Number of events and information sessions organised is above 10 sessions in an academic year.
  • Number of private schools visited/hosted on campus is above 20 schools in an academic year.
  • Number of public schools hosted on campus is above 20 schools in an academic year.
  • Number of followers on @new-to-gutech is above 5000 by July 2025.
  • Applications satisfaction with admission process is above 3.5.
