About the Faculty:

The Faculty of Business and Economics offers undergraduate programs in “Logistics” and “International Business and Service Management”, and postgraduate programs in a “Master of Business Administration (MBA)” and a Master of Science in Hydrogen Economy and Technology. We are seeking a collaborative and enthusiastic individual to join our growing department.

 

Job Description:

We seek a qualified Assistant Lecturer in Logistics and Supply Chain Management to join our dynamic department and contribute to our teaching and research mission. You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality instruction by leading Logistics and Supply Chain Management tutorial sessions. You’ll also actively support main instructors by collaborating on course design, updating topics and materials, and developing assessments. Relevant courses include Logistics Management, Procurement, Production logistics, Warehouse Management, Transportation Logistics, Optimization and Simulation techniques, Industrial Project, etc.).

 

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Deliver well-prepared lectures, tutorials and other forms of interactions with students.
  • Support the development of teaching materials and course curriculum.
  • Support courses coordination.
  • Provide academic advisory and support to undergraduate students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in departmental activities.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism and ethics.
  • Assist with administrative tasks within the department as needed.
  • Contribute towards the achievement of strategic goals of the University, with a focus on excellence in Learning & Teaching and interaction with stakeholders.
  • Promote the values of the University, especially multicultural awareness and ethical practices.
  • Strengthening the nexus between teaching, research, and industry.
  • Contribute to the department’s research activities (optional, if applicable).

 

Requirements and Competencies

Candidates for this position must demonstrate their compliance with the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred, but not mandatory).
  • Minimum two years of experience following graduation.
  • Demonstrated experience in effective teaching at the university level (preferrable).
  • Demonstrated industry experience in the relevant discipline (preferrable).
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented multicultural environment.
  • A passion for logistics and a commitment to student success.
  • Experience developing and implementing student-centered learning approaches.
  • A good research record in a relevant field (optional, if applicable).
