The Finland Oman School is the result of a partnership between Oman Educational Services LLC (OES), the owner Company of the German University of Technology in Oman (GUtech), and our Finnish partners specialized in Education. Both OES and our Finnish partners have extensive experience in managing educational institutions and applying best quality teaching and learning practices.  Finland Oman School builds on experiences and know-how from the Finnish education system, which utilises benchmarked, research-based pedagogy, and innovative approaches to teaching and learning. To ensure continuous implementation of Finnish practices, we have experienced Finnish teachers guiding and mentoring our international and local team to ensure that Finnish pedagogical methods are consistently applied in all areas of teaching throughout the school.

The Finland Oman School is located in Halban within 30 min from the capital Muscat. It is housed in a state of the Art, purpose-built building within the campus of the German University of Technology in Oman (GUtech). This allows for greater collaboration between both institutions, and many great opportunities for our students.

For the fourth academic year 2021/2022, the Finland Oman School offers Kindergarten Grades KG1 and KG2 (ages 3-5), Primary School Grades 1-6 (ages 5-11), and Secondary School Grades 7-11 (12-16).

We are looking for qualified and dedicated multi-national TEACHERS for the following subject:

Secondary Level English Teacher – Short-term Contract

All applicants must have a minimum requirement of a Master’s Degree in the subject area and a teaching qualification (such as PGCE). Must possess a minimum of 2 years teaching experience in their subject. Alternatively, must be a Bachelor degree holder in their subject and a Teaching qualification, with a minimum teaching experience of 4 years.

  • Weekly home/school communication with parents
  • Substitution lesson cover of other teachers if needed
