The German University of Technology in Oman is an internationally recognized institution, established in cooperation with the RWTH Aachen. We are located in the capital city of Muscat and offer both Bachelor and Master level degrees in Architecture and Urban Planning, focusing on themes relevant to the GCC Region. The Department of Urban Planning and Architectural Design (UPAD) is a young faculty which strives for a high level of engagement and expertise in teaching. To complement our team, we seek to fill the Lecturer role.
Qualifications:
You have a Master’s or PhD degree in Architecture and a high level of English (spoken and written). You are design-oriented and work well both independently and within small efficient teams.
You bring a curious and open worldview to your teaching and cooperation. You see yourself as an all-rounder in a dynamic, academic workplace.
Expected Scope of Work:
- Organization and execution of different courses in Bachelor: content, lectures, assignments, tutorials and assessments
- Organization and execution of Design Studio topics, consultations, assessments, critiques
- Participation in departmental duties such as committees, Colloquia, administrative tasks
- Research and Consultancy
